Terms and Conditions

I/We agree that I/we participate in this (these) trip(s) entirely at my/our own risk, and undertake that I/we shall not hold the Tramping Club, or any of its Officials or Servants liable for any injury or mishap to my/our self(ves), or loss or damage of property whatsoever.

We will ask you to sign an indemnity form on your trips first day before you start your trip 

The Tramping Club Management Committee reserves the right, in sole discretion, to exclude unsuitable persons.

The Tramping Club Management Committee reserve the right to cancel any trip, if due to insufficient numbers or any other reason it may decide that it is not possible to proceed with. Should this be the case, the Committee would give early notification, offer participation in other trips, or refund all fees paid (including membership) in full.

The trip fees are refundable if cancellations are made prior to eight weeks before the trip. Cancellations made closer than eight weeks before the trip may be penalised by the amount of costs we cannot recover if we cannot fill the places (e.g. hut fees prepaid, transport arranged, bulk food purchases, etc). Donations are non refundable.

You will need to send the required trip payment, Club membership payment and your donation (if applicable), with your trip application.

We are a group of non commercial unpaid volunteers, and we need to safely cover costs. To be allowed to carry on with our wonderful project, DoC insist that we run our trips on a "cost recovery basis" only. We are allowed to accept donations and club membership fees.

Personal information provided through this website will be held in the strictest confidence. Personal information will only be used for the purposes it was collected.

When collecting personal information by whatever means the Club will ensure that appropriate notices are given and consents obtained in accordance with the Information Privacy Principles. Most information is collected directly from the individual concerned.

Information we release; We will only release information about You as authorised by Yourself, required by law or where required in order for Us to provide Services to Yourself, e.g to third party suppliers. Where supplied to such third parties the information provided will only be suficient for the third party to perform their services and may not be used by them for any other purpose. We will not release Your information for any purpose which You could reasonably expect us not to release the information. Except as detailed above We do not share, give, sell, rent or lease information to third parties and Your Personal Information will only be disclosed to those employees within our Organisation who have a need to know in order to ensure You are provided with information about our services to request services through this website. 

Under the Privacy ACt legislation You can ask to see any information We may hold about You and You also have the right to have any inaccuracies in the same corrected by Us. We will comply with any such requets to the extent required by the Privacy Act Legislation with fourteen (14) days of the receipt of Your request. We may ask you to verify your identity in order to help us respond efficiently to your request.
