HUXLEY LODGE - OHAU AREA 2012 Season

After an absence of some years, we now revisit  Huxley Lodge, some 55 km inland from Twizel, close to the Southern Alps ... This Lodge, with reasionably good facilities, owned by Twizel High School, accommodates some 40 people.

Our Bus will deliver us to the Lodge, so the food will be of a Catlins, Aspiring & Borland standard. We will organise day tramps from the Lodge, in a similar fashion to our day trips on the Aspiring, Borland, Catlins, Berwick and sutton trips.

People can choose what they wish to participate in. There are many interesting areas to visit . eg Hopkins Valley, Huxley Valley, Temple and Maitland, Ram Hill etc. Some are demanding, some are easy, and this area is quite spectacular and different to the other areas we visit. Those who joined our two very successful trips last season, voted them as "highly enjoyable". As usual all activities are optional.

Transport
Our Bus will depart from Dunedin at 9am, travel via Oamaru, Duntroon & Omarama through the famed Mackenzie Country. Return the same way, returning to Dunedin late afternoon.
